Thalassa sits behind its own cedar dune on Plaka, the four-kilometre ribbon of sand that runs down Naxos' west coast. One low wing for sleeping, one tall wing for living, and between them a sunken courtyard where lunch routinely outlasts the afternoon.
The eighteen-metre pool runs parallel to the shoreline, but honesty compels us: most guests cross the sixty metres of private frontage and swim in the real thing. A skipper and a seven-metre boat wait on the morning you want Iraklia or Koufonisia.
